When thinking about a film adaptation, Muller brought in film noir and Blacklist-era actress Marsha Hunt to star in his 2007 short film, which \u003cem\u003eFilm Threat\u003c\/em\u003e called \"a brilliant exercise in American gothic.\" Muller's involvement in the Film Noir Foundation and programming at Turner Classic Movies halted plans for a feature adaptation. But now he shares the original story and script versions, along with related materials and concepts for the planned feature, in the premiere entry of Channel Academic\u0026amp;#39;s Indie Film Notebooks. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAuthor Biography\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEddie Muller, aka the “Czar of Noir,” is the host of TCM’s Noir Alley, and the prolific author of novels, biographies, plays, films, and movie histories, including \u003cem\u003eDark City: Revised and Expanded Edition\u003c\/em\u003e and the children's book \u003cem\u003eKid Noir\u003c\/em\u003e. He also programs and hosts the Noir City film festival series, curates museums, and provides commentary for television, radio, and DVDs. As founder of the Film Noir Foundation, Muller has been instrumental in restoring and preserving dozens of lost noir classics.
